Remote Desktop Support Analyst - Fixed Term Contract

About the role
Provide and perform second line Remote Desktop Support across multiple customers, using multiple tooling and technologies using analytics and automation.
What you will do
- Proficient use of remote-control platforms (TeamViewer, VNC, SCCM, Remote Desktop, Remote Assistance, AnyDesk).
- Carry out troubleshooting and support of various Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 8, 10 and 11; and iOS would be advantageous).
- Carry out troubleshooting and support of off-the-shelf software applications (Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365, Citrix Client, VPN Clients, Microsoft Outlook, Google Office).
- Proficient use of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and DFS.
- Carry out troubleshooting and support of end-user device antivirus (SEP, SCEP) and other client security products.
- Understand, create and execute basic Microsoft PowerShell Scripting.
- Carry out end-user device connectivity troubleshooting.
- Ability to carry out investigations using the Nexthink Analytical tool.
- Carry out proactive technical support using analytic results from tools such as Nexthink.
- Non-Technical / Administrative tasks.

- Good documentation skills.
- Willingness to engage in ad-hoc non-technical administrative tasks.
- Willingness to work overtime at short notice (remunerated as per the BCEA) in events like priority one/two incidents.
- Commitment to proactive support and looking for potential issues on a device rather than purely reactive response.
- Flexibility in work hours and willingness to work over standard shifts or cover for absent team members when required.
- Willingness to work on SA public holidays or weekends as per customer requirements.
- Desire to keep abreast of latest technologies and applications.
- Adaptability to ever-changing environments and changes within the organization.

- Grade 12
- ITIL Foundation V3 or later
- CompTIA A+, N+
- MCDST
