Responsibilities
- Industry-Specific Talent Mapping: Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify key talent pools within the Financial Services, Oil & Gas, Energy, FMCG, and IT sectors in South Africa.
- Proactive Candidate Sourcing: Implement strategies to continuously engage with potential candidates, including passive candidates, through networking, social media, industry events, and other channels.
- Database Development and Management: Oversee the development and maintenance of a comprehensive talent database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of candidates' profiles, skills, experiences, and preferences.
- Talent Acquisition and Efficiency:
- Set and monitor targets for reducing the time taken to fill open positions, ensuring prompt and efficient recruitment processes.
- Establish criteria for assessing the quality of candidates sourced and monitor metrics such as retention rates and performance evaluations of placed candidates.
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the recruitment process and implement strategies to streamline workflows, improve communication, and enhance overall effectiveness.
- Quality of Talent Pipeline:
- Develop and execute strategies to identify and engage with top talent within the Financial Services, Oil & Gas, Energy, FMCG, and IT industries in South Africa, aligning with the organisation's current and future talent needs.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with potential candidates, including passive candidates, through personalized communication, networking events, and targeted outreach efforts.
- Ensure that candidates within the talent pipeline possess the necessary skills, qualifications, and experiences required to meet the specific requirements of client roles within the designated industries.
- Client Satisfaction:
- Conduct thorough assessments of the client requirements, preferences, and expectations regarding candidate profiles, recruitment timelines, and overall service delivery.
- Maintain open and transparent communication channels with clients, providing regular updates on recruitment progress, candidate availability, and any potential challenges or concerns.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients and opportunities, tracking leads, activities, and interactions in a CRM system, and provide regular updates and forecasts to senior management on potential revenue generation.
- Market Insights and Trends:
- Conduct ongoing research and analysis of the Financial Services, Oil & Gas, Energy, FMCG, and IT industries in South Africa to identify key market trends, challenges, and opportunities impacting talent acquisition and recruitment.
- Monitor competitor activities, including their recruitment strategies, offerings, and market positioning, to identify best practices, emerging trends, and areas for differentiation.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging recruitment technologies, tools, and platforms that enhance sourcing, screening, and engagement processes, improving efficiency and effectiveness in talent acquisition.
Requirements
- National Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, or related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in talent acquisition, recruitment, or HR roles.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices, sourcing techniques, and talent acquisition technologies.
- Demonstrated success in driving business development initiatives and achieving revenue targets.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional client service and driving operational excellence.
- Knowledge of South African labour laws, regulations, and industry-specific compliance requirements is preferred.
- Professional certifications in recruitment or HR (e.g., IPM, APSO etc.) are a plus.
