Role: Creative Group Head (Copy background)
ROLE MISSION
Working in partnership with our client, the Group Head Copy will have 8+ years of copywriting experience in a digital/ad agency. The candidate should have strong creative & ideation skills and a portfolio of work, which demonstrates strategic thinking, campaign ideation & copywriting for all types of branded digital & social content.
The Creative Group Head will be working with a team of copywriters and setting direction for various campaign ideas & ongoing digital content that would span across digital films & social media content.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE
- Ideation And Thinking
- Ensure the creation of contextual, innovative content.
- You will be a strong conceptual thinker that knows how to get to the heart of a creative challenge and build compelling brand stories with your writing.
- You will be experienced in creating integrated creative concepts across a variety of brands and across all channels including digital, experiential, and print and film.
- Drive the agenda for innovation (new trends, insights and content formats) that can be utilized for client pitches, client briefs and new partnerships.
- Campaigns
- Set direction to campaign ideas & social content.
- Write copy for a variety of media including digital films, social, print & online.
- Edit and proof work to ensure high editorial standards are met across all content outputs.
- Develop and deliver pitches that impress clients, and successfully bring to life the proposed campaign.
- Work closely with arts & graphics, video and production teams to co-create content.
- Help in developing creative campaigns that impress clients, deliver on their requirements and are measurable.
- Work with clients to modify concepts in accordance with their requests, being able to effectively convey what is and isn't feasible in order to accomplish the desired outcomes.
- You will be a self-assured communicator with strong presenting and negotiating abilities that guarantee the acceptance of your team's ideas by both internal and client audiences.
- You are comfortable leading a team across multiple projects from conception to completion in accordance with deadlines.
- You are a strong mentor who can use your experience to develop and grow those in your team.
- You will be able to balance being both hands on when required, working as part of a creative team, while overseeing other projects in a core directional capacity.
- Taking responsibility for all creative aspects of our own Agency's brand, building the perception of creative strategy.
WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL
- Great writing, ideation, and communication skills.
- 8+ years of copywriting experience, preferably with a digital agency.
- Strong creative thinking skills and ability to think conceptually to come up with ideas.
- Ability to concept new campaign copy in a variety of mediums.
- Knowledgeable on what type of content performs well across the different channels.
- Passionate about social media platforms, trends, technology, and best practices.
- Attention to detail and confidence in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent portfolio of work.
- Sets and maintains high standards commensurate with the company's creative expectations.
