We are looking for a StudioX Client Partner (Social) Africa.
Ogilvy Social.Lab is seeking a visionary and experienced Client Partner, Africa to lead our global client, The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC), into a new era of social excellence in the African market. As a key leader within StudioX, the execution arm of WPP's bespoke agency network for TCCC, you will spearhead social strategy, execution, and digital transformation across multiple markets and brands throughout Africa.
Transformational Leadership & Client Partnership:
- Lead the Charge: Serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to senior TCCC stakeholders in Africa, guiding them through the evolving social media landscape and championing innovative solutions.
- Drive Digital Transformation: Collaborate closely with TCCC and internal WPP teams (including Mediacom, Hogarth, VML, and Ogilvy offices) to integrate social media seamlessly into the broader digital ecosystem.
- Shape the Future of Social: Identify and leverage emerging platforms, technologies, and trends to keep TCCC ahead of the curve and drive impactful results.
Strategic Vision & Operational Excellence:
- Develop Winning Strategies: Working with a team of social media professionals, craft data-driven social media strategies aligned with TCCC's business objectives, ensuring cultural relevance and local market nuances are carefully considered.
- Oversee Flawless Execution: Lead a team of social media professionals across multiple markets, ensuring consistent brand messaging, campaign excellence, and adherence to best practices.
- Champion a Performance-Driven Culture: Establish clear KPIs, implement robust reporting mechanisms, and leverage data insights to optimize campaigns and demonstrate the value of social media.
Team Management & Collaboration:
- Build & Inspire High-Performing Teams: Foster a collaborative, results-oriented, and inclusive team environment that empowers individuals to thrive and deliver their best work.
- Cultivate Strong Partnerships: Work cross-functionally with creative, strategy, analytics, and account management teams to ensure seamless campaign development and execution.
- Lead with Influence: Effectively navigate complex internal and external stakeholder relationships, building consensus and driving collaboration across all levels.
Financial Acumen & Business Development:
- Manage Procurement: Lead contract negotiations, developing comprehensive commercials, scopes of work and service level agreements (SLAs) with both WPP and TCCC entities.
- Drive Revenue Growth: Identify and pursue opportunities to expand service offerings and generate new business within the TCCC account and beyond.
- Own the Budget: Manage project budgets effectively, ensuring timely and cost-efficient delivery of all social media initiatives.
Desired Skills & Desired Experience:
- 10+ years of proven experience in digital and social media marketing, with a significant portion in leadership roles, ideally within an agency setting.
- A deep understanding of the African digital landscape, including cultural nuances, consumer behavior, and emerging trends.
- A strong track record of developing and executing successful social media strategies for global brands, demonstrating measurable business impact.
- Exceptional client management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships, provide strategic counsel, and navigate complex stakeholder dynamics.
- Proven experience in leading, motivating, and mentoring high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Strong financial acumen, including budget management, contract negotiation, and resource allocation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
