Job DescriptionWe are proud to be partnering with a charity based in North West London, who are looking to appoint a Senior HR Advisor on a 12-month FTC.
This will be a full-time position based principally in North West London as well as involving travel to other sites (Essex, Middlesex, Hertfordshire).
This role includes hybrid working (2 days home working) and a salary of £39,000 to £42,000 per annum.
The ideal candidate will have effective knowledge of employment legislation and its application
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Establishing positive working relationships with HR colleagues in the wider team and demonstrating an understanding of the organisation’s vision and values
- Providing advice and support to managers on all aspects of employee relations including absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance issues and be responsible for efficient outcomes to close ER cases within a specified time frame
- Supporting employees and managers on terms and conditions of service, employment policies and procedures
- Designing templates and bespoke letters for managers to use when dealing with conflicts
- Undertaking absence management and exit leaving projects
- Offering any advice on any proposed re-organisation structures, helping deliver and mitigating risk
- Taking notes at meetings including investigations, hearings and appeal
Experience required:
- Working within a multi-site, unionised environment
- Experience of managing a varied complex caseload including sickness absence, disciplinary, grievances, workforce investigations, appeals and cases
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Up-to-date knowledge and application of employment laws
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

Working hours:
- 36.42 hours a week (Apr - Oct, Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm & Oct - Mar, Monday - Thursday 9am - 5.30pm, Friday 2pm finish)
- Hybrid working (2 days work from home)
