The job
The General Manager: Rental Property Management takes overall responsibility for the Rental Property Management department which manages a growing rental portfolio of approximately 3500 residential units as well as a small retail portfolio.
In this role, you'll be the driving force behind the success of our rental operations by optimising processes while motivating your leasing, property management and facilities management teams. As a vital member of our executive team, you will be at the forefront of strategic decision-making and transformation of our organisation as an industry leader.

Job Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Level 6 - Relevant tertiary qualification in property management. A combination of relevant experience and education can also be considered (e.g. a qualification in portfolio management or asset management (Property, Plant and/or Equipment) along with experience in property management.
The following experience is required:
8 or more years’ experience in property management Experience managing a residential rental property portfolio, preferably at a similar level Experience in operations management, financial management and risk management Experience with accounting for performance, governance, and risk at a Board level Experience in direct management and supervision of people
Other skills required:
Working knowledge of portfolio management and asset management Knowledge of the property industry Knowledge of relevant legislation including the Social Housing Act, the Rental Housing Act, Prevention of Illegal Eviction Act, etc.
High Level of Language skills : Ability to read, analyse, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
High Numerical skills: Strong ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Exceptional Reasoning Ability: The ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
