HEAD CHEF / KITCHEN MANAGER
RedCat Recruitment is seeking an experienced Head Chef / Kitchen Manager for a large growing concern in the Midlands area.
Job Description
- Grade 12
- Relevant Culinary qualification or equivalent experience
- Valid drivers license / own reliable vehicle
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet)
- 4+ yrs working experience in a supervisory role within a food services environment
- Knowledge of grilling, baking and batch cooking is essential
- Supervisory management
- Manage a busy kitchen which involves:
- Running every day service
- Running a team of 16 cooks
- Keeping the level of food produced at a high and consistent standard
- Food costing / costing of dishes and purchasing
- Stock taking and ordering
- Understanding the importance of hygiene in the kitchen and maintaining a clean environment
- Management of rosters such as bin duty, cleaning duty, extra shifts
- Passion for food, team player and visionary
- Willing to bring new ideas to the table and inspire new dishes
