Role Overview: We are looking for a Senior Project Architect to lead the detailed design, technical documentation, and construction monitoring of a significant mixed-use project. This role will require extensive experience in project management, design oversight, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a design team and coordinate their efforts in conjunction with your own contributions during design development and technical documentation preparation.
- Interface with a full consultant team and manage consultants to ensure code compliance and document production.
- Oversee client relationships, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations, project expectations, service quality, and consistent communication.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to discuss design plans and project objectives.
- Oversee the construction administration of one or more projects, acting as a liaison between the client and the construction team.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with regulations and project standards.
- Create and manage progress and quality inspection reports.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, managing these effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform final inspections upon project completion.
- Occasional travel may be required to represent the company on-site and to work independently when necessary.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Design.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in the field, with at least 5 years in a project leadership role.
- Proven ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in coordinating technical services and multidisciplinary teams is essential.
- Familiarity with both JBCC and FIDIC contracts, with a strong understanding of the JBCC forms of contract.
- Software Knowledge: Proficiency in Autodesk Revit is required, with working knowledge of other design and coordination tools such as AutoCAD and Navisworks considered an advantage.
- Collaboration Platforms: Experience with BIM360 and ACC is a must.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong technical understanding and the ability to manage both design and construction phases.
- Project Management: Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Leadership: Ability to lead a team, delegate tasks effectively, and manage junior staff members.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in both design and documentation.
- Risk Management: Sensitivity to and experience in managing project risks are critical to success in this role.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to interface effectively with clients, consultants, and stakeholders both locally and internationally.
