Responsibilities:
- Identify training required to develop multi-skilled production lines.
- Attend pre-production meetings.
- Ensure line is set according to the line balancing sheet.
- Check supervisor line balancing to ensure the full utilization of staff.
- Manage 6-8 supervisors and oversee production lines.
- Ensure downtime is kept to a minimum by immediate intervention.
- Knowledge of planning, work study, quality, and equipment maintenance.
- Ensure deliveries are in full and on time.
- Discipline: Take appropriate action for non-performing supervisors.
- Ensure general discipline is maintained according to the company rules and regulations.
Requirements:
- Textile manufacturing experience (1-3 years in a supervisory role).
- Process and operations knowledge with good contactable references.
- Supervisory/production management experience.
- Clear criminal record.
- Computer literate.
- Grade 12 (advantageous).
- Driver's licence Code 10 (advantageous).
