JOB PURPOSE
The role requires a passionate Campaign Manager. The required end result is for the successful candidate to turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Analyst and Campaign Responsibilities
- Interpreting data and analysing results using statistical techniques.
- Developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases.
- Managing campaigns and suppliers to achieve agreed targets.
- Analysing response rates, lead flows, and profit & loss on a campaign-by-campaign basis.
Data Analyst Lifecycle
- Conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities, and design.
- Developing analysis and reporting capabilities.
- Monitoring performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.
- Liaising with clients and ensuring targets are met.
Data Interpretation and Development
- Interpreting data and providing ongoing reports.
- Developing and implementing databases, data collection systems, and data analytics strategies.
- Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases/data systems.
- Identifying, analysing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Filtering and cleaning data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
Relationship Building, Processes, and Opportunities
- Working with management to prioritize business and information needs.
- Locating and defining new process improvement opportunities.
- Liaising with clients and managing budgets & volumes.

EDUCATION
- Matric
- BCOM, BSC, or equivalent diploma
EXPERIENCE
- Proven working experience as a Data Analyst, Business Data Analyst, and/or Campaign Manager.
- Experience in a direct marketing environment.
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (e.g., Business Objects), databases (e.g., SQL), and programming (e.g., Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP - LAMP).
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets (e.g., Excel, SPSS, SAS).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
