Equites is seeking an Operations Manager, capable of performing effective operations management of logistics and industrial properties.

Equites Property Fund Limited is a South African real estate investment trust, with a definite focus on being a market leader in the logistics property market by developing and acquiring A-grade, modern logistics facilities in prime locations in South Africa and the United Kingdom. Equites listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange on 18 June 2014 with a portfolio value of R1 billion and has since grown to a portfolio value of R28.4 billion at 29 February 2024.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Suitable candidates with a property or technical qualification and relevant experience in a similar role would be favourable and should have practical experience in operations management.

Qualification & Experience
Required:
- Property or Technical qualification
- Strong technical and organisational skills
- 5–8-years of experience in a similar role
Preferred:
- Experience in software that is used for property operations workflow (Outlook, MRI and other PC based skills)
- Understanding of laws and regulations relating to buildings
- Understanding and implementation of maintenance and re-instatement clauses in leases
RESPONSIBILITIES
The tasks below include some of the key responsibilities which will be assumed by the employee:
- Operations management of buildings and facilities
- Prepare annual budgets and budget tracking
- Compilation of annual building condition reports and implementation of remedial works in reports
- Compilation of tenant incoming reports and re-instatement reports
- Maintenance tracking
- Managing of projects: re-instatement, building improvements and tenant installations
- Management of industrial park common areas
- Provide operational documentation when Equites dispose of buildings and provide technical advice on operational matters
- Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
- Engage with stakeholders (includes tenants, vendors, third-party service providers and professionals)
