Requirements
- Matric / Degree/Diploma in supply chain/Logistics
- Valid code 10 driver’s license with a minimum of 2-3 years driving experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in the Logistics/Warehousing industry in a leadership role
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily planning in production i.e., production targets, allocating resources, risk management etc.
- Manage the implementation of all assigned tasks and daily production targets, ensuring alignment with BMLS policies and procedures.
- Monitor delivery and implement necessary changes in operations.
- Proactively identify and manage issues and resolve them to prevent impact on targets and deadlines.
- Ensure any breakdowns and/or incidents are treated as critical and resolved timeously.
- Collaborate with the management team to share ideas and improve operations, recommending and implementing continuous improvement activities.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders including other departments, senior management, customers, and external partners to align operational objectives and address concerns.
- Ensure a safe working environment for employees and compliance with health and safety regulations by promoting a culture of safety first.
- Implement safety protocols, risk assessments, site declarations, and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
- Ensure all systems implemented are used to their full potential and collate reports when required.
- Document end-of-shift pictures of all warehouses and stock levels per warehouse.
- Report the number of trucks and volumes loaded from each warehouse to each vessel, reconciling with chief and agent.
- Assist in recruiting, training, developing, and maintaining high morale among employees to ensure adequate staffing and performance.
- Participate in performance management, ensuring proper accountability and documentation.
- Assist in managing employee absenteeism.
- Assist in issuing disciplinary warnings and initiating hearings.
- Develop a culture that promotes positive support for implementation of a SHE policy and related procedures.
