The Business Controller is responsible for overseeing financial operations related to trade accounting and reporting. This role ensures the accuracy of financial reporting and provides strategic financial guidance to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of accounting and finance acumen, with a deep understanding of commercial dynamics within the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree or CA(SA) preferred).
- US CPA or US GAAP qualification or experience is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, and business controlling.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and analysis.
- Understanding of derivatives and their use in a trading environment.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion).
- Knowledge and experience in automation is an advantage.

- Strong capability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable recommendations.
