When you join the team at Tamworth Hospital's Maternity unit, you will be welcomed as a valuable member of our team. You will support women and their families throughout every stage of pregnancy, including antenatal care, labour, and early postnatal support.

Tamworth Hospital is a major referral hospital located in the northern region of the Hunter New England Local Health District. You'll be working in the largest health facility in New South Wales, outside of the Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong, offering you the opportunity to work in a busy hospital with lots of opportunity. You will88-bed facility includes a high demand emergency department, Intensive Care, rehabilitation services, a Brain Injury Unit, Diabetes Centre, and high dependency unit. Our Maternity service has a 20-bed antenatal and postnatal unit; 4 birthing suits and 2 assessment rooms; and a 7-day Home Midwifery Service. We look after low to high-risk pregnancies, with birthing numbers sitting just under 1200 per year.
