As an
Accountant you will responsible for the following:
Planning and Control - Assist the Finance Controller with opening production bank accounts based on signed contracts.
- Manage the P2P workflow by creating necessary processes and training new users.
- Issue and fund petty cash cards upon receipt of requests from Production Accountants.
- Project Budget and Margins
- Prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for sales and costs by collaborating with business heads.
Debtors Control - Add new customers to the Sage system upon receiving contracts/quotations.
- Invoice customers based on signed agreements and manage cash receipts.
- Analyze debtor aging reports and follow up on outstanding payments weekly.
Financial Management - Calculate and prepare revenue and deferred revenue per IFRS 15 monthly.
- Close P2P requisitions and expense accruals for cost of sales calculations.
- Prepare and submit relevant journals and work in progress calculations for review.
Cash Management - Oversee petty cash processing and ensure reconciliations align with the ledger.
- Provide weekly cash receipt forecasts and monthly reports on outstanding debtors.
Reporting - Support Central Finance in preparing management accounts and sales reports monthly.
- Generate consolidated cash flow statements quarterly and assist in performance reporting.
Audit - Aid auditors with clarifications and support during annual financial statement preparation.
Governance and Compliance - Compile and submit BBBEE spend and training information from financial reports as required.
Job Experience and Skills Required: Completed Bcom in Finance
Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
Minimum 3 years experience in a similar position
