The objective of the Territory Sales Manager is to optimise the sales of LPG in the area by providing quality customer service and increasing customer satisfaction in a profitable and safe manner.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring that all projects and tasks assigned by management are met on time and in full.
- Achieving and exceeding individual business objectives/targets as well as supporting the team to achieve overall team objectives.
- Forecasting annual activity by estimating the new business that needs to be generated from existing customers in the portfolio and new customers in order to achieve targets.
- Ensuring compliance with the sales standards as communicated by the Line Manager.
- Driving LPG sales by keeping contact with existing customers through visits to find out their requirements.
- Calling on potential and new customers and contracting them.
- Performing demonstrations with appliances and dealer outlets.
- Ensuring that the profitability and returns on investment are optimised by controlling expenditure.
- Liaising with Customer Services to ensure the credit management of existing customers.
- Developing and maintaining an excellent understanding of the key customers/target markets to ensure that their needs are being met and their business is retained.
- Liaising with the Line Manager in terms of forecasting sales targets and ensuring that they are met.
- Having a sound understanding of LPG as a product, market, applications, competitors, customers, etc., ensuring that such information is leveraged to attain sales targets.
- Observing and complying with company policies/regulations that are applicable such as HSSE, MoA, Competition Law.
Knowledge and Skills
Grade 12 qualification, preferably with a Diploma/Degree qualification (Marketing or Technical), driver’s license with a reliable car. Two years’ technical and sales experience. Working knowledge of CRM tools is an advantage. Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship building, time management, prioritization, planning, and problem-solving skills. Customer-centric individual. Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
