Overview
The principle purpose of this position is to capture accounting documentation, bank reconciliation, customer and creditor statements in compliance with policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Allocate payments
- Check statements for correctness
- Forward statements
- Assist in recons if needed
- Re-allocate sundry customers to correct account
- Follow up on overdues
- Correct any incorrect entries if needed
- Create creditors on M3
- Arrange to create new creditors on Standard Bank
- Do adhoc payments once a week
- Validate correctness of invoices
- Trace outstanding supplier invoices & documentation
- Do creditors recon
- Load creditors for month-end payments
- Capture of bank statement
- Raise jnls for AP accruals
- Release pre-payments
- Do installation report
- Re-allocation of incorrect entries
- AR Report
- Cash and Debt Report
Qualifications - Matric with Math and/or Accounting.
- 10 years or more experience as a Bookkeeper.
- University Degree.
