Senior Payroll Administrator (Sage 300 People)
A JSE listed automotive retail conglomerate seeks to employ a Payroll Administrator to join their head office team based in Johannesburg East.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Full payroll function
- Application for Tax Directives
- Completing Statutory returns and handling of statutory payments
- Completing IRP501 recons and year-end on Easyfile
- Dealing with staff queries
- Garnishees & maintenance Orders
- Handling administration of medical aid, provident and funeral funds
- Capturing employee data in respect of engagements, terminations, transfers, and promotions
- Reconciliations of medical aid, provident and other third-party payments
- Importing data
- Checking payroll variances
- Preparing payroll files for finance and producing reports for month-end
- Filing & Scanning
Education Requirements:
- Completed Matric (Grade 12)
- Tertiary qualification in accounting or payroll preferred
Job Requirements and Skills:
- 4 to 5 years' experience in a full function payroll position is essential (up to salary journals and liaison with finance)
- Sage 300 People working knowledge ESSENTIAL
- Strong understanding of statutory payments and returns
- Payroll accounting and reporting to finance experience essential
- Proficient in MS packages
- Deadline driven
- Ability to work in a high pressure, fast paced environment
- Team player
