Job Summary: As an ME Estimator/Contract Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the pre-construction and project management phases. You will utilise your expertise to accurately estimate costs, coordinate project contracts, and oversee the execution of electrical projects in both industrial and commercial settings. Your ability to manage projects from concept to completion will contribute to continued success.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimate Preparation: Accurately estimate costs for electrical and mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, based on project specifications and plans.
Contract Management: Oversee project contracts, ensuring adherence to terms and conditions, budgets, and timelines. Monitor and report on project progress and financial performance.
Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination: Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing for project materials and services while maintaining quality standards.
Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, taking into account all project requirements and client expectations.
Project Execution: Manage project execution, including coordinating the work of internal and external teams, monitoring quality, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Client Interaction: Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing their needs, providing project updates, and ensuring satisfaction.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about electrical codes, industry regulations, and safety standards, ensuring projects are in compliance.
Risk Assessment: Evaluate potential risks associated with projects and provide input on risk mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in mechanical estimating and contract management in industrial and commercial settings.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and construction techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in estimating and contract management.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
