The Inventory Manager at our client is responsible for overseeing the efficient management of stock, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and facilitating smooth operations in the stock room. This role involves receiving finished products from production, verifying production reports, maintaining inventory records, and collaborating with the dispatch team to ensure timely and accurate shipment of products. The ideal candidate should have experience in stock control/inventory management or a highly administrative role with familiarity with Excel and ERP software, as well as be exceptionally organized and systematic.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Receiving and Verification:
- Receive finished products from production/CMT and confirm their accuracy and condition.
- Compare received items with production reports to ensure consistency.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to the Production Manager.
- Inventory Management:
- Perform the bill of materials for each product received and update inventory records accordingly.
- Maintain accurate stock levels and update stock databases/systems.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and organization of products in the stock room.
- Stock Control:
- Monitor stock levels and anticipate the need for replenishment.
- Implement stock control measures to prevent overstock or stockouts.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Stock Movement:
- Manage all stock movements, including incoming and outgoing products.
- Collaborate with the dispatch team to coordinate the picking, packing, and dispatching of stock orders.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct quality checks on incoming stock to maintain product quality standards.
- Address any quality concerns and report issues to the Production Manager.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of all stock-related activities.
- Prepare regular stock reports for management review.
- Provide input for stock-related decisions and improvements.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as production, dispatch, and sales to meet stock-related demands and resolve issues.
Qualifications - Previous experience in stock control, inventory management, or a highly administrative role.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in mathematics and data entry.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with stock management software and systems is a plus.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move stock as needed.
- Textile industry experience is a bonus.
