The marketing department is looking for a detail-oriented and highly organised individual to join their team as a Marketing Assistant. This role will support the marketing team in various administrative and operational tasks, with a primary focus on the management and distribution of marketing materials, and administrative support to the marketing team.
This position requires a candidate with strong planning, organizational, and multi-tasking abilities.
You will liaise with various individuals and departments in the company, as well as external stakeholders.
Roles & Responsibilities
Marketing Material Management
- Coordinate the production and distribution of all marketing materials, including point-of-sale displays, brochures, and in-store signage.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels of marketing materials.
- Source quotes and samples for various marketing material.
- Package and distribute marketing materials to stores in a timely manner.
- Ensure stores receive the correct quantities and types of marketing materials.
General Marketing Administration
- Assist with the planning and execution of marketing events and campaigns.
- Conduct general research on competitor activity.
- Assist the Marketing Manager and Senior Marketing Coordinator with general marketing activities.
- Provide general administrative support to the marketing team.
Managing the Administration for the Donation Portfolio
- Coordinate the distribution of donation stock.
- Keep records of donation stock and supporting documents needed for tax purposes.
- Report on animal welfare contributions regularly.
Managing Tasks for Several Ongoing Projects/Campaigns
- Assist with the coordination of various aspects of the project after launch and ensure it continues to run smoothly.
- Assist with various marketing projects, including market research and competitor analysis.
- Brief in any changes to marketing elements (POS material, website banners, etc.).
Administration Support for the Marketing Budget
- Record spending per campaign or event and provide updates throughout the various campaigns.
Experience And Qualification
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Strong time management in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multi-task
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in a retail environment
