An industry-leading client of ours is looking for a professional Assistant Planner to join their team.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 with a good pass in Physical Science and Mathematics
- Industrial Engineering degree/diploma
Job Requirements
- 2 years experience preferably in a manufacturing supply chain environment
- Computer literacy (MS Office – Excel, Word, Outlook, Abaca, Qlikview, Shopware) - advantageous
- Must be energetic, hard-working, and able to perform under pressure
- Must be proactive, responsible, and reliable
- Forklift license – an added advantage
- Good communication skills at all levels
- Must be able to work independently
- Good administrative skills
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Support in the procurement
- Support Board Unit Planning
- Support Converting Planning
- Liaise with production regarding sales queries
- Support in Compiling monthly reports for the head office
- Support in sequencing the orders on the production systems
- Support Paper Stores to ensure paper availability
- Liaise with dispatch, production, and sales to ensure that the jobs are ready to be delivered
- Actively involved in the stock take in accordance with the accounting standards
- Attend daily Planning and Production Meetings
- Attend the weekly waste meeting
