We're looking for an experienced Account Manager (2+ years experience within Financial Data/Tech) to support this organisation on their growth as they look to double in size within the next 24 months.
Job Description:
- Managing a large portfolio of key clients across both buy and sell side institutions
- Managing key stakeholder relationships at existing accounts to ensure high retention rates
- Responsible for over 100 existing end users, driving high user engagement with the service
- Drive and upgrade the pipeline within your accounts by prospecting, cold calling, qualifying and securing meetings with appropriate prospects
- Cross-selling new products into your portfolio of clients
- Managing the entire sales process from qualification through to negotiation and close
- Accurately reporting revenue forecasts and managing pipeline progression in Salesforce
- Travel within assigned territory as required to meet with clients and prospects
Skills and Attributes Required:
- Strong academic background with at least a 2:1degree (obtained) in the following : politics, business, economics, English literature, history, languages (or any similar subjects)
- A self starter who is proactive, energetic, personable and confident
- Must be a team player who is able to collaborate with colleagues and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ideally will have an interest in financial markets and current affairs
- Basic understanding of market dynamics or economics
- 3-4 years of account management/ business development experience, ideally selling into financial markets
- Good knowledge of CRM systems and Salesforce
