Key Responsibilities:
LORS System Management:
- Utilize the LORS system for efficient collection/payment of Reinsurance monies with Lloyd's syndicates
Excel Spreadsheet Analysis:
- Conduct detailed analysis and processing of Excel spreadsheets to ensure accuracy and compliance
Policy Entry and Premium Accounting:
- Use in-house systems to create policy entries
- Process premium accounting bordereaux and enter data onto the company's in-house system
Treaty Processing:
- Efficiently handle treaty processing tasks to support the smooth operation of reinsurance agreements
Client Liaison:
- Communicate with clients to ensure prompt payment of premiums and address any inquiries or concerns
Payment Reconciliations:
- Perform reconciliations for premium and claims payments to maintain accurate financial records
Monthly Brokerage Targets:
- Collaborate with the team to ensure monthly brokerage targets are met and contribute to the overall success of the department
Renewal Statistics and Evidences of Cover:
- Prepare renewal statistics to facilitate decision-making processes
- Generate evidences of cover to meet contractual obligations
Conduct and Compliance:
- Support the implementation of good conduct within the business for optimal outcomes for customers and policyholders
- Ensure compliance with PRA and FCA conduct rules
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Reinsurance Technician, preferably in a Lloyd's Broker environment.
- Ideally have an in-depth knowledge of the LORS system (however this is not essential) and proficiency in Excel
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Familiarity with premium accounting and treaty processing
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- PRA and FCA compliance awareness
