Job DescriptionWe are partnered with a Financial Services Business, and they are looking for an Interim Cost Synergy Finance Consultant on a 6-month basis.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the quantification and presentation of the financial value of all non-staff cost synergies.
- Act as the key point of contact for the business for identifying non-staff cost synergies ensuring that relevant activity is being undertaken on a timely basis.
- Identify key suppliers to be reviewed and baseline levels of expenditure
- Work with business areas to show a clear path to both the value and timing of expected non-staff synergies.
- Work with management accountants to confirm that identified synergies are coming through in the actual results for the group.
- Ensure all onerous cost provisions are appropriately recognised as services are identified for termination.
- Prepare and maintain a consolidated forecast showing the expected timing and value of all non-staff cost synergies.
- Regular reporting to key Finance leadership on overall status of the delivery of non-staff cost synergies.
- Work closely with supplier management to ensure interactions with the broader business are co-ordinated.
Required skills and knowledge:
- Qualified accountant.
- Credible engaging with senior business leadership and in challenging potential outcomes.
- Strong communication skills - both verbal and written.
- Strong eye for detail whilst being able to quickly pick up new information and understanding of the group.
- Work independently but able to confidently interact with the broader Finance team to build knowledge and share expected outcomes.
