Background: Our client is a leading international bank who are seeking to hire an experienced employment lawyer for a sole position. This person will be responsible for managing and advising the organisation in relation to employment law related matters, compliance and risks in line with the bank's business strategy and risk appetite across EMEA. The bank is ambitious and has been going through large periods of growth in the last few years. They pride themselves on their company culture and have a very collegiate feel.What will make you successful in this role?Qualified lawyer (ideally E&W) from a reputable law firm and/or notable in-house institution with strong interpersonal skills who will act as an employment law legal advisor to all levels of the bank in the EMEA region.6+ PQEExcellent knowledge of UK (and preferably EU) employment law.Strong understanding of the regulatory environment and in particular, the impact of the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR) on employment documentation, policies and practices.Proven influencing skills, experience dealing with multiple stakeholders in a complex structure including being able to influence staff at the most senior level.Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
