FX Trade Support Analyst Job Summary:We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented FX Trade Support Analyst to join our growing foreign exchange (FX) operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing critical support to the FX trading desk, with a strong focus on data analysis, sales material preparation, and trade execution support. This role requires a blend of operational expertise, data management, and financial market knowledge. The ideal candidate may come from an investment bank or risk management business Key Responsibilities:Trade Execution Support:Assist in the execution, confirmation, and settlement of FX trades, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Work closely with traders, brokers, and middle office teams to monitor trade flows and address any discrepancies or errors.Ensure all trade details are correctly captured in the internal systems and aligned with external counterparties.Data Management and Analysis:Gather, analyze, and manage large sets of FX trade data to produce actionable insights for the trading and sales teams.Perform in-depth analysis of FX trades and market trends to support decision-making on strategy and execution.Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that track key performance indicators (KPIs), P&L, and risk metrics for the FX desk.Sales and Client Support:Prepare high-quality sales materials, pitch decks, and presentations for clients and prospects, using data-driven insights.Collaborate with the sales team to develop customized FX hedging solutions and recommendations based on client needs.Respond to client inquiries and provide detailed trade analysis, market commentary, and updates on FX positions.Reconciliation and Reporting:Reconcile FX trade data between internal systems, counterparties, and clearinghouses to ensure accuracy.Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports on FX trading activity, positions, and exposure for both internal teams and external clients.Assist in the preparation of regulatory reports and ensure compliance with relevant FX market regulations (e.g., Dodd-Frank, EMIR).Risk Management:Support the risk management team by analyzing FX exposure, monitoring trade limits, and identifying potential risks in trading activities.Assist in the development and execution of hedging strategies to manage FX risk for the company and its clients.Process Improvement:Identify inefficiencies in trade support workflows and recommend improvements to streamline operations.Partner with IT and other departments to enhance FX trading systems and automation tools.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.2-4 years of experience in FX trade support, operations, or risk management within an investment bank or Risk management firm, or similar environments.Strong knowledge of FX markets, trade lifecycle, and financial instruments such as spot, forwards, swaps, and options.Experience with trade execution platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, 360T, FXall) and risk management systems.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SQL, VBA, or Python is a strong advantage.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Ability to manage and manipulate large datasets for analysis and reporting.Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data and analysis into clear, client-friendly presentations.
