Managing and leading consultant teams during the planning, pre-construction and construction phases of projects of varying scales and levels of complexity. This includes raising appointments for consultants, preparing project program and risk register and reporting and tracking during all project phases.The role of Project Manager includes the following responsibilities:Produce project briefs and assist in establishing development strategic goals Produce accurate project programmesManage a team of internal and /or external consultants and suppliersAttend and chair all design team and site progress meetingsBecome the key contact for all internal / external parties on the projectUnderstand key client stakeholders, their drives and prioritiesProvide design management services to the client, including but not limited to: Review consultant design / project documentation Identify discrepancies and opportunities to improve design Encourage design innovation, sustainability and creativity Have a an understanding of building regulationsMonitor delivery of the team’s roles, responsibilities and project deliverablesMonitor and challenge the performance of the project teamAssist in producing scopes for external consultants and compiling formal appointmentsSupport procurement and tender process and compilation of contractual arrangements for contractorsPrepare and coordinate projects for planning submissionEffectively manage costs through the application of formal financial controls and regular reportingEnsure projects meet or exceed defined quality standardsEnsure project compliance with the requirements of legislation and/or external authoritiesEnsure design approvals and financial sanctions are obtained at appropriate stages with relevant client stakeholdersProduce project progress reportsEnsure effective management of project documentation for future retrievalEstablish project handover process, in alignment with client quality standardsManage the snagging process and internal / external resourcesProduce snagging documents necessary for live trackingManage change and resolve potential conflictExecute a communication plan for all projectsProduce a comprehensive risk register for all projectsAssist with the minimisation of risks to health and safety on all projectsKey Attributes: The ability to –Make good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience and judgementCo-ordinate and motivate multiple teams on multiple projectsCommunicate with all stakeholders, including key areas of the client’s businessQualifications & Skills:3+ years project management experiencePrevious experience within a consultancy based environmentDegree educated preferably, with a goal for professional accreditationExperience working on projects at all stagesExperience of suggesting ways of working which will improve efficiency across the teamExcellent interpersonal and relationship skillsDemonstrated ability to plan, organize and prioritize responsibilities in order to consistently meet deadlinesProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project and other project management softwareCumming Management Group is committed to creating a diverse workplace and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
