The Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of various projects within the Agricultural / Medicinal industry. This role requires strong leadership, project management skills, and a deep understanding of the Agricultural / Medicinal market, including compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Management:
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budget.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Regulatory Compliance: - Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Keep abreast of changes in legislation and ensure projects adapt accordingly.
Team Leadership: - Lead and motivate project team members to meet project goals and adhere to their responsibilities and project milestones.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management: - Communicate project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders, including executive management, clients, and regulatory bodies.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project goals.
Risk Management: - Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Monitor and report on project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Quality Assurance: - Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
- Implement and maintain project management best practices and standards.
Budget Management: - Monitor project budgets and control costs to ensure projects are completed within financial constraints.
- Prepare and present budget reports to stakeholders.
Documentation and Reporting: - Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and records.
- Provide regular updates and detailed reports on project progress, milestones, and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the Agricultural / Medicinal industry or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of medicinal regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience with cultivation, production, or distribution within the agricultural / medicinal industry.
- Familiarity with product-specific software and technology solutions.
Understanding of indigenous cultivation practices and the right sowing time for plants in South Africa
