Our client in the Textile Manufacturing industry is seeking a dedicated Fabric Replenishment Planner. This role focuses on managing the overall delivery of textile products, aligning with our strategy to build organizational capacity and deliver on our value-based household mandate.
Responsibilities:
- Determine material specifications and create and maintain inventory schedules.
- Coordinate with sales and production teams to effectively plan and manage fabric requirements, minimizing production disruptions.
- Submit requisition orders for required materials.
- Ensure materials meet specifications, quality standards, and cost-efficiency.
- Plan raw materials inflows based on customer requirements and projections, considering critical paths, minimum order quantities, and buffer stocks.
- Ensure the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production.
- Schedule and oversee the supply and delivery of materials and products.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of shipping challenges that may impact the critical path.
- Liaise closely with the Sourcing Manager to requisition fabric orders and ensure timely order placement.
- Track orders to ensure timely delivery and availability of fabrics.
- Conduct regular meetings with key account managers to discuss their requirements and manage fabrications.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and distributors.
- Manage inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations.
- Oversee usage and approvals of fabric management, including stock levels, stock cover, redundant stocks, and deliveries.
- Manage stock levels and ensure accuracy of stock with fabrics stores management.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in inventory management, logistics, business, or related field preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or related position.
- Understanding of critical path within a textile manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
- Strong logical and numerical skills with the ability to make sound decisions.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Experience in collecting and analyzing data.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong leadership qualities.
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven and pressurized environment.
- Ability to adapt to change.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and materials management systems.
