Job Title: Credit Analyst
The credit analyst is a professional role that specializes in analyzing and assessing the creditworthiness and investment potential of affordable housing intermediary funding proposals. The primary responsibilities involve conducting in-depth financial analysis of businesses or organizations to evaluate their credit risk and investment prospects. This includes detailed analysis of financial statements, income statements, cash flow statements, and balance sheets to assess the financial health and stability of potential borrowers. The analyst examines factors such as the borrower's financial history, industry trends, market conditions, financial forecasts, and collateral. Based on this analysis, a recommendation is made regarding the likelihood of a borrower defaulting on their loan obligations, along with appropriate risk-based pricing.
Duties & Responsibilities
- B Com Degree or similar in a financial-related qualification. Postgraduate qualification/certificate would be advantageous.
- At least NQF7 finance-related qualification.
- 3-5 years’ experience in the credit, property, or financial sector.
