Main Purpose of Position:
The Microsoft Technical Specialist role entails, amongst others, aligning with specified technologies, design and build of accurate technology configurations and solutions by studying and understanding partner technologies and supporting partners from a technical support perspective
KPA PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
General Duties and Responsibilities:
Supporting Brand and Partners with all technical and program support requirements on the Modern Work and Security portfolio
- Display key competencies of knowledge in supporting partners with the Modern Work and Security portfolio with a specific focus on Microsoft 365 licensing, & Teams adoption, and Security adoption.
- Working closely with the Product Manager to highlight any specific enablement that partners may require from a Sales and Product perspective and supporting the brand team with partner Technical enablement through boot camps.
- Supporting the brand team with program-related support on partner MPN allocations.
- Managing all technical support requirements on the MWS portfolio – troubleshooting, logging of calls to be escalated to the vendor for resolution and query management.
- Follow the lead from the Product Manager and complete all assigned tasks on time.
- Configure technology solutions.
- Assist internal and external customers with technical questions regarding allocated product/s and/or technologies.
- Work closely with Brand and Vendor technical teams to understand new technical developments in the IT industry.
Detail Microsoft Pre-Sales Role Definition: - Identify the Service Provider’s requirements by researching and analyzing their needs.
- Know and support the Service Providers with the Microsoft solutions.
- Keep current with new Microsoft product releases.
- Articulate Microsoft roadmaps and solutions by working closely with the Brand Product Managers and communicating to Account Managers.
- Assist the Service Providers with product trends and consult with them to assist in rolling out new products and features for business growth and tenant requirements.
- Assist the Brand with technical tasks that they require
KPIs - Number of technical partner engagements.
- Number of OEM engagements (SureStep Ambassadors and Solution Hub allocations by vendor
- Number of Technical Sales engagements at partners.
- Keep required certifications active and renew certifications as and when required by management.
- Certification on the Microsoft MWS portfolio (obtain a minimum of 1 certification per quarter) as determined and assigned by management, remaining current and up to date.
- Accuracy of tasks competed
- Completeness of communication.
- Updating of technical logs on CRM and Partner Centre

REQUIREMENTS:
Internal training associated with competencies:

Minimum Qualifications :
- Matric
- A degree in computer science, IT, or related.
- Minimum of 2 years of technical experience in the Microsoft Modern Work and Security portfolio.
- Minimum of 2 years technical experience in using Microsoft MWS
Technical Certifications
- Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS 900).
- Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900)
- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300.
Office Requirements:
- Office-based working environment.
- Semi-formal dress code.
- Working hours are from 08:00 – 17:00.
- Excellent international business language skills (English), both written and verbal.
- Reliable transport to and from the office.

- This is a permanent position subject to a three-month probationary period.
