Job DescriptionOur client is a Experiential Marketing Agency who are seeking a strong Senior Account Manager with a proven track record of working for an experiential agency delivering large scale live events.
Project Management:
- 4+ years’ experience of managing experiential and sampling campaigns, including ambient, chilled and frozen products. Also Road Shows, Tours, Sampling Events.
- 3+ years of managing event and experiential event creative and production processes
- Experience of completing daily, weekly reporting and campaign evaluation
- Taking ownership over organising all aspects of events and campaigns
- Compiling all project documentation to a high standard, from staff briefing documents to client reporting files
- Establish and follow a realistic project plan/ time path and obtain approval by client
- Keeping in contact with all project stakeholders – being the lead for all parties, ensuring communication is clear and relevant
- Delivering against agreed time frame and managing suppliers so they deliver – prompts client to ensure they meet their tasks
- Identifying and maximising all additional opportunities for client, the firm & 3rd parties
- Managing other team members who will be working under their direction
- Create online content for events and campaigns
- Brief and manage staff to complete objectives for projects
- Work with staffing team to brief them on campaigns requirements of promotional staff and event managers.
Client Management:
- Ensuring you and your direct reports are managing clients effectively
- Responding to requests from client in timely manner
- Maintaining client shared drive – ensuring all data is accurate and current
- Generating creative solutions to meet all stakeholders’ objectives
- Ensure quality of budgets, documents, reporting before it is sent to client. Checking team’s work.
- Ensure documents are in clear and easily understood format.
- Provide valuable and insightful campaign feedback. Use information to identify opportunities for future.
- Ability to lead or influence client’s decision by ensuring solid opinion and robust recommendations.
New Business:
- Whilst the Account Director will manage the majority of NBZ, input will be required for pitches.
- Creating proposals and proactive recommendations to clients with support from AD, generating creative solutions to meet all stakeholders’ objectives
Suppliers and Locations:
- Come with a wealth of knowledge across suppliers to build a supplier list
- Experience of researching, negotiating and booking locations with suppliers
- Creating great relationships with suppliers
- Negotiating prices and terms
- Ensuring confidentiality is maintained
- Drafting contracts and ensuring a robust paper trail – approval required from AD
- Keeping up to date with innovations, competitor products and supplier services- e.g. reporting tools. visiting suppliers, checking websites, reading press, attending events
- Identifying suppliers which would generate savings, add value or a competitive advantage
Finance:
- Ensuring team are gaining 3 supplier quotes. Ensuring all costs are within budget or below budget.
- Ensuring team have researched all purchases and are the best option.
- Generating client budgets – with sign off from AD. Ensuring we are providing value to client
- Ensuring team are generating GP to meet targets
- Raising client invoices using accounting system – sign off with AD
- Ensuring all costs are within budget and generating additional savings. Ensuring the accounting software is being used.
- Demonstrating Commercial thinking- smart buying
- Ensuring invoicing is being completed correctly. Checking team’s invoices and updating the AD on all budget updates.
People Management:
- Demonstrates good interpersonal skills when working with other staff
- Be able to manage and communicate well with external promotional staff, providing in-depth briefings to ensure the success of projects
- Manages weekly status reports, hosting weekly status meetings with line manager to ensure each project runs to brief
- Proactively consults with key departments/suppliers to keep them informed of upcoming workload to ensure timely completion of client projects
- Brief creative department with design requirements
- Listens and shows respect for other points of view
- Arranges meetings and issues accurate contact reports promptly
- Trains new members of the team on internal procedures & programs
- Offers new ideas and shares suggestions with internal team
- Manages junior staff and becomes role model for wider team
- Manages Training & Development of junior line reports (with support from Account Director)
Knowledge:
- Excellent knowledge of UK cities & towns, UK industries and UK Demographic spread
- Knowledge of client’s business and sector (e.g. FMCG/ Media sector etc)
- Generating creative solutions to reaching objectives
- Experience of working with production heavy projects, managing the creative process, being responsible for all paperwork including Risk Assessments, Method Statement s and health and safety aspects of the build
- Keeping up to date with current consumer trends & good existing knowledge of consumer shows
- Extensive knowledge of sampling locations, sampling targets, realistic expectations, sponsorship opportunities, exhibitions and other experiential locations
