Our business is a combination of retained permanent and interim/contract services with the majority of revenue generated from international markets. Due to continued growth we’re now seeking a part-time FD/CFO to support our COO in overseeing and developing the finance function as well as working with the CEO & Chair on commercial and strategic direction.
THE POSITION
This is a part time position, c.1-2 days / week. The role has both a strong day to day operational focus as well as a strategic element including the following responsibilities:
- assist and advise the COO and board on commercial and strategic direction.
- develop the finance function, information and outputs to a rigorous informative level to enhance board decision making.
- review and analyse performance and profitability of all domestic and international offices.
- cash flow management
- budget preparation
- work with European colleagues and accountants and develop best practice
THE CANDIDATE
The candidate will be an experienced FD/CFO, ideally having worked in the recruitment or professional services industry, with deep finance skills and gravitas.
- Preferably a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA).
- A track record of implementing and improving accounting systems, processes and management information and financial reporting.
- Experience of M&A with a thorough understanding of related financial due diligence, and potential risks and opportunities
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to operate at pace and drive change.
This is an interesting opportunity for an experienced FD/CFO who wants to support a growing international recruitment business to achieve its short, medium and long term objectives. It would particularly suit a semi-retiree or returner to work.
