Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Management
- Lead and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Implement effective sales strategies and promotions to drive revenue growth.
- Monitor sales performance, analyse trends and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained at all times.
- Administrative Management
- Oversee daily administrative operations, including inventory management, supplier relations and store compliance.
- Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping, such as sales reports, financial documentation and inventory logs.
- Coordinate with finance for budgeting, invoicing and financial reporting.
- Ensure that all legal, regulatory and safety requirements are adhered to, particularly regarding firearm sales and hunting licenses.
- Team Leadership
- Train and manage a team of sales associates and administrative staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations, set goals and provide feedback to improve team efficiency.
- Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, accountability and a customer-first mindset.
- Customer Relations
- Build and maintain relationships with customers by providing product knowledge, answering inquiries and addressing concerns.
- Lead in-store demonstrations, events and customer education initiatives.
- Handle escalated customer service issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in retail management, ideally in an outdoor, sports or similar retail environment.
- Strong knowledge of firearms, hunting gear and outdoor equipment.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage administrative tasks, including inventory, sales tracking
- Proficiency in sales reporting software and retail management systems.
Education and Experience:
- At least 5+ years of retail management experience, with 2+ years in a senior or administrative role.
Key Skills:
- Strong sales acumen with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems and inventory management
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
