Head of Channels to lead their expansion into the Namibian market and revolutionize the way banking services are delivered.
Job Summary: As the
Head of Channels , reporting to the Executive Director of Operations, you'll be responsible for deploying card-based and technology-driven products and services across our entire network and service channels. Your role will involve creating and managing cross-functional partnerships to ensure participation in leading settlement platforms, as well as developing the bank's capacity in people, skills, and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement products and services across remote touch points such as ATMs, cards, e-banking, and mobile banking platforms
- Identify and seize opportunities for alternative payment solutions, driving the growth of electronic cards and alternative payment channels
- Drive maximum market penetration of alternative payment channels, aligning with the bank's retail strategy
- Identify and manage strategic alliance partners to enhance offerings and expand reach
- Oversee service management of vendors and outsourced operations, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Collaborate with the Retail Banking Division to develop and implement marketing and sales strategies for Cards & Channels products
- Define operational guidelines for electronic and mobile banking to ensure seamless customer experiences
Qualifications and Requirements: - A first Degree in any discipline is required, with a professional accounting qualification or Masters in Economics, Banking & Finance, or Business Administration considered advantageous
- Formal training in Banking Laws/Regulations is preferred
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in a bank or payments institution, with expertise in electronic cards and channels preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of the Namibian payments landscape
- Strong alliance management skills with the ability to cultivate and maintain partnerships
- Excellent customer relationship development and management skills
- Proficiency in negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution
- Creative thinking and innovation in developing and managing alternative payments products
- Ability to develop, defend, and execute a business case
