We are seeking a motivated and skilled Inbound Wholesale Consultant to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for managing relationships with our wholesale partners and ensuring seamless communication and service delivery for inbound travel bookings.
Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale partners and travel agents to drive inbound travel bookings.
- Booking Management: Handle and process inbound wholesale travel bookings, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Provide general and specific advice about different travel destinations and respond to all calls quickly, professionally, and courteously.
- Handle the 24hr emergency phone and ensure to complete all return calls/emails every day.
- Secure business and cost products, build up and maintain agent/supplier relationships, and source & sell alternative services.
- Reconcile supplier invoices for processing and tour guide expense sheets, check guide salaries, and assist in answering complaints.
Qualifications:
- Experience in selling FIT packages and a strong knowledge of destinations in Southern Africa.
- Must be a senior consultant with at least 5 years’ experience in tourism.
- Superior knowledge of South Africa (both geographical and product).
- Tourplan knowledge would be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and time management skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and cope under pressure.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and a demonstrable interest in travel.
