DUTIES:
- Daily management of the effectiveness of the local planning, personal effectiveness and processes accuracy to deliver on time and in full to customers.
- Perform daily loadmaster function for local logistics.
- Attend to call in / collection customers.
- Receive and check in ATR’s and redeliveries from fleet.
- Assist Sales team with customer delivery queries.
- Perform stock checks on local routes to avoid stock outs and credit notes before invoicing and route sheet.
- Manage Fleet and ensure vehicles are repaired and serviced on time and in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines.
- Supervise local pickers.
- Limit overtime and check logistics time sheets to ensure accuracy.
- Perform daily check on back orders to ensure stock is available and they are delivered as soon as possible.
- Perform accurate warehouse counts and ensure daily stock readiness.
- Manage the alignment and effectiveness of the local logistics team – Bidtrack reports and fuel card compliance.
- Housekeeping – logistics, front entrance / yard / parking area and verge.
- Branch loss prevention and stock control.
- Analyse daily control sheet and note actions required for improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & KEY SKILLS:
- Minimum 4 years experience in a similar role specifically with logistics, fleet management, staff management, stock control and warehousing.
- Tertiary operations management qualification.
- A high school matric qualification.
- A good understanding of the importance of this role and the consistent accuracy required.
- Innovative problem solving mindset.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Good communication skills – verbal and written.
- Leader willingness and ability to hold staff accountable.
- Good ability to understand, activate and consistently execute processes.
