GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
With a direct report to the Manitou Centre Director, this position has the responsibility of overseeing the daily operations of the Cape Town Centre.
The Operational Branch Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective functioning of the branch office. This role involves overseeing various operational aspects, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, managing staff, and fostering a positive working environment.
Operational Management:
- Oversee all operational activities within the branch, including but not limited to customer service, sales, inventory management, and administrative functions.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track branch performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
Customer Service:
- Ensure that customers receive prompt and courteous service at all times.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Implement measures to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Financial Management:
- Manage the branch budget, including revenue and expenses.
- Monitor financial performance and implement cost-saving measures as needed.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks to protect the branch and company interests.
- Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard assets and data.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Technical Qualification is an advantage, as well as relevant previous experience.
- Proven track record and knowledge and experience in the Material Handling Sector.
- 10 years of experience in the Material Handling sector and operational management.
Skills & Competencies:
- Microsoft – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Conflict management.
- Ability to make decisions.
- Attention to detail.

This position is based in Cape Town, South Africa.
