Traditionally focused on the Print Management and Print User Management industry, we are recruiting for a Product Manager based in our Durban branch, who will also oversee distribution across Africa. The ideal candidate should be passionate about managing, selling, and supporting software distribution with skills in print/office automation, possess strong IT skills, and excel in customer sales and service. The candidate should be dedicated, target-driven, and experienced in driving software sales. Experience in Managed Print Services and specialized knowledge of Print Software and other related solutions are essential.
Desired Experience & Qualification:
- Matric certificate and relevant tertiary degree qualifications.
- Must have own vehicle.
- 3-year IT experience would be advantageous.
- A hunger to learn with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work alone.
- Great customer service orientation.
- Customer sales and relationship driven.
- Strong and professional communication skills.
- Experience in MPS or office automation beneficial.
- Must be proactive and a problem solver.
- Computer literate, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (especially MS Excel) and Pastel Evolution.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identify and establish new reseller opportunities across Africa, driving market penetration.
- Conduct market analysis, product and price comparison, and develop marketing strategies to assist resellers in gaining market share.
- Maintain a deep understanding of software offerings.
- Assist resellers in scoping solutions based on client needs, conduct POCs, and ensure effective project management.
- Ensure professional client presentations, proposals, and quotes.
- Maintain updated client contacts, minute reseller meetings, and enhance business development strategies.
- Design and implement training programs for product features, technical aspects, and sales strategies.
- Train software custodians on managing the software portal.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing, and ensure a strong understanding of product requirements.
- Provide technical support, manage reseller support calls, and liaise with the software support team.
- Develop strategies to find potential resellers, work on marketing campaigns, and collaborate with software companies and suppliers to create and validate marketing materials.
- Integrate software into reseller systems, create and update the software framework, develop SOPs, and stay updated on industry trends.
- Manage client expectations, liaise with suppliers, and provide timelines for product development.
- Review monthly invoices, track sales, manage income and expenditure, and handle reconciliations with suppliers.
