MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Matric certificate / equivalent
BSc Quantity Surveying / B.Tech Quantity Surveying or relevant qualification
Computer literacy (MS Office) – Advanced Excel, Word, Power Point, Teams, Projects
Knowledge of ERP systems – Sage, JDE, SAP or similar
Knowledge of contract administration processes and procedures
Additional Certification is advantageous
Valid drivers license and own reliable transport
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
2-3 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in an underground mining environment
Knowledge of different types of contracts & the ability to interpret contract requirements
Hands-on experience with contract administration, preparation of variations and payment applications
Project costing, planning, controlling, monitoring & reporting
Knowledge of procurement process
Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Undertake cost analysis for underground mining and construction project work
Track work progress and quantify revenue, prepare payment applications and invoices
Advising on procurement strategy
Project Budgets, cost controls and variance analysis
Identify changes to contract baseline, quantify changes and prepare variation quotations
Maintain registers of variations, changes and correspondence
Prepare ad-hoc analysis and reports as required (Daily, weekly and monthly reports)
Compile and distribute all project communication
