Duties include:
- Must have a good understanding of both internal and external Parts Sales – Service Workshop, Sales, over the counter operations etc.
- Must understand the full value chain workings of Parts, from ordering, receiving, stocking, sales, dispatch, logistics and invoicing.
- Ability to run Parts Department and manage all Parts Management duties.
- Manage inventory and stock control.
- Overseeing orders for replacement parts.
- Meeting set targets.
- Debtors control.
- Work closely and communicate effectively with service department.
- Perpetual stock counts.
- Quarterly stock counts.
- Purchases in terms of re-order categories and not increasing redundant stock value.
- Strategy on disposing of dead stock not including OEM buybacks.
- Backorders, stock adjustments, parts store security, binning and other standards, workshop counter, despatch and courier where required.
- Stocking of parts, intercompany accounts recon.
- Parts department controls implementation & monitoring.
- Customer Care and weekly business retention visits to ensure parts growth & retention.
Requirements:
- Must have parts manager experience 5 years+ at a franchise dealership.
- Must have either Evolve / CMS/Automate / experience with Parts.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of inventory monitoring principles.
- Courses/qualifications related to the Motor industry and sales is advantageous.
