Job Description
Responsible for eliciting and validating business requirements with stakeholders and analyzing and translating business requirements into requirement packages from which application solutions are developed.
The business analyst is responsible for defining business needs for new and/or enhanced products, services, or optimized business processes.
- Analyze business from all aspects to develop an in-depth understanding of the business.
- Work with end users and project owners to identify business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Conduct gap analysis between current and required specifications.
- Oversee the planning and execution of systems testing.
- Analyze existing business processes and facilitate improvements with stakeholders.
- Identify and define business processes and system development or configuration requirements to realize the process end goal.
- Work with project team members to define metrics/performance goals/acceptance criteria for the solution or system.
- Assist in translating requirements into test conditions and expected results for unit development, system integration, and UAT.
- Participate in quality reviews or set reviews of designs, prototypes, and other work products.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience within a BA role in a similar environment.
- Must have a good understanding of BA processes.
- Workshop or hold JAD sessions.
- Assess, analyze, and optimize end-to-end business processes.
- Detailed extraction and documentation of all business rules impacting a project.
- Business analysis, i.e., planning, eliciting, documenting, and reviewing.
- Review test cases provided by the Test Analyst.
- Create the relevant analysis documentation, i.e., Business Specification and/or Functional Specification documentation using change control processes and version controls when required.
- Provide recommendations to the business when requirements are unclear, taking into account what would be best for the business.
