My client is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join their expanding Direct Sales team. This UK-based role offers a flexible and remote work environment, enabling you to identify potential clients and partners across the UK and Europe, from startups to enterprise-level organizations. The primary focus of this role is on generating new business, with a particular emphasis on profitability through self-established relationships. The ideal candidate will be adept at understanding and leveraging the company’s core and value-added propositions to address customer challenges.
We are looking for candidates with a proven track record in sales, particularly those with experience engaging prospects in key vertical markets, such as Digital Ecommerce, Travel, Hospitality, and Financial Services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- - Proactively identify and approach new prospective merchants and introducers, showcasing the benefits of my client’s products and services.
- - Understand the key challenges faced by merchants and partners and address these by recommending the appropriate products and services, ensuring profitable terms.
- - Negotiate commercial and contractual terms with support from the Line Manager, Department Director, and Pricing Manager for necessary approvals.
- - Oversee the transition of newly onboarded customers to ensure a smooth handover to an Account Manager.
- - Foster and maintain relationships with introducers, building trust and expanding their portfolio of referred merchants.
- - Keep the CRM system updated regularly to ensure accurate reporting, forecasting, and pipeline management.
- - Represent my client at industry events as required.
- - Travel to meet with prospective clients and partners to enhance the quality of discussions, effectively addressing and resolving identified issues.
