They are seeking a Finance Assistant to join their team. This role will be part of the Transactions Team, reporting to the Finance Manager.
- Invoice Management: Verify and approve invoices and payment requests for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Data Entry: Enter invoice details into the accounting system, ensuring correct coding and matching with purchase orders.
- Payment Processing: Prepare and process electronic transfers, BACS payments, and check runs regularly.
- Vendor Coordination: Maintain vendor records and resolve payment inquiries or discrepancies.
- Account Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling accounts payable and resolving discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure transactions comply with policies and regulations; assist in audit preparation.
- Reporting: Generate accounts payable reports to support management decisions.
- Team Collaboration: Support the finance team in improving processes and guide non-finance colleagues on purchasing procedures.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative assistance, including filing and document management.
