ABOUT THE ROLE
The VP of Sales manages all sales operations and leads the sales team to drive growth. The sales team is lean and this is very much a hands-on role, which will involve leading and upskilling the team, while actively participating in the sales processes to ensure that sales targets are achieved.
The VP of Sales will focus on:
· Team Management, including coaching, mentoring, training and upskilling
· Providing clear direction and communication on the business and sales strategy and goals.
· Management of sales deliverables and achievement of targets.
· Determining and setting sales goals and quotas.
· Creating and managing the Sales Department budget.
· Producing sales forecasts and reports.
· Research markets and competitors and determine new sales opportunities.
· Collaboration with Marketing to identify and implement opportunities for lead generation.
· Driving lead conversion, the RFP process, and the overall deal closure process.
ABOUT YOU
You are a dynamic, strategic, and commercially minded Sales Leader with experience in the Insurance sector and ideally in the technology sector. You have a deep knowledge and understanding of the Insurance industry, specifically understanding customer requirements and challenges, and how to support this with technology.
You have experience in the development and implementation of sales strategies, the setting and management of sales goals, the management of growth, and managing small to medium-sized Sales teams.
You enjoy networking and developing your connections in the industry, and you are a master negotiator.
You are highly analytical and are good at analysing data and identifying trends. You are proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools and you believe in making data-driven decisions.
