A prominent event and cultural destination in North London is seeking a dedicated Financial Transactions Supervisor to join its finance team. This organisation, which hosts a wide range of high-profile events—from concerts and exhibitions to festivals and conferences—operates with a key mission: to maintain its historic park and palace as an open space for the free use and recreation of the public, forever.
The Financial Transactions Supervisor will play a key role in supporting the finance team, ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of all financial transactions while minimising bad debt.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process supplier invoices promptly and accurately.
- Raise customer invoices, including event settlements, and manage debt collection and recovery.
- Supervise and support the weekly payment run.
- Line manage the Accounts Payable Assistant and Treasury Assistant.
- Complete sub-ledger reconciliations.
- Review Aged Creditor listings bi-monthly and take necessary actions.
- Review Aged Debtors monthly and implement credit control procedures for debt collection.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in a similar financial role.
- Hands-on experience with both purchase and sales ledgers.
- Experience in supervising or managing a team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial processes to non-finance managers.
