Job DescriptionAn Account Director / Senior Account Director at EMERGE is a go-getter with a passion for building brand fame. As part of the senior team, Account/Senior Account Director’s are able to autonomously devise and deliver PR strategies, confidently manage client and team relationships and generate consistent results.
You will be instrumental in the development, evolution + delivery of your brands’ PR strategy, consistently looking for ways in which we can pivot and innovate to achieve against client objectives.
Commercially minded and creative in nature, an Account/Senior Account Director at EMERGE is emotionally intelligent and adept at building relationships with industry, clients and media. As a senior member of the business you will support the Agency leaders, including pitching for new business and growing existing accounts.
The Day-To-Day:
- Senior client contact on accounts
- Managing client service and agency performance with regards to servicing + timesheets
- Overseeing PR campaigns from creative brief to implementation and delivery
- Delegating to and managing a PR team. At EMERGE, we believe strongly that you move up in the business with your hand held out for someone to move with you.
- Retention, both of clients + EMERGE team
- Winning new business and developing current client scopes
- Contributing positively to overall business culture
- Developing a wide network and nurturing key contacts
Key Skills:
- Leadership and management of a PR team
- Developing and nurturing talent within the business
- Senior experience within a PR agency or in-house role
- Experienced at winning new clients and pitching for business
- Keen networker and adept at building relationships with key media, industry and talent
- Proven ability to present complex industry information to target audiences
- Expertise at handling a range of media to place products, grow brands or pitch for new customers
- Excellent project management skills with strong organisation for forward planning ability
- Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills
- Ambitious, driven and problem solving attitude
Relevant Experience:
- Account Director: 5-6 years Comms experience
- Senior Account Director: 6-7 years Comms experience, with 1+ years already in a Director role
- Experience handling multiple brands with outstanding communication skills
- Experience with a wide range of moments in a brand cycle, for example, fundraising announcements, launches, rebrands, founder / spokespeople profiling and product lead campaigns
- A strong industry network and contacts with senior journalists, editors, talent, influencers and talent managers
- Proven track record of successfully creating and implementing PR campaigns for a range of client briefs and budgets
- Strong and confident presenter
- Strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure remaining positive and present
- Ability to lead and execute large scale events involving talent, media and stakeholders
- Highly engaged in contemporary culture i.e. music, fashion, art + design, food + beverage
- Line management experience in developing and overseeing team performance through goal setting and reviews
Note: This role is office-based 4 days per week.
