We are currently on the lookout for Catastrophe Modelling Analysts with experience in ReInsurance markets.We are looking for confident, eager Analysts to join this incredible environment, these Analysts will be providing comprehensive and thoughtful modelling output to key stakeholders throughout the pricing process whilst assisting with portfolio roll-up and other value-add modelling tasks. This could be supporting Senior Analysts in aiding underwriting decision making identify patterns and potential anomalies within data or assess and forecast risk exposure.This Analyst will be a key point of contact for underwriters and other stakeholders, with queries relating to the pricing of accounts and portfolio roll-up.We’re seeking a Catastrophe Modelling Analyst that is able to demonstrate skills/knowledge such as;Sound financial and commercial acumenRisk analytics modelling experience is essential, using the following: RMS RiskLink/RMS Risk Manager/AIR TouchstoneStrong Microsoft Excel skills are essentialSound knowledge of data management and structuresGeneral coding logic and coding experience in SQL are highly desirable, skills in R &/or Python would be usefulExperience in utilising data manipulation and visualisation tools are desirable, e.g. PowerBIAbility to design, operate, interpret and communicate quantitative reportingExperience in using DFA tools and Underwriting administration systems are desirableKnowledge and experience of the (re)insurance industry is desirableTechnical knowledge of (re)insurance, outward reinsurance, the general underwriting process and underwriting performance are desirableThe successful candidate will earn up to £80,000 and in addition there are exceptional benefits which come as part of the overall package including: Discretionary bonus, 18% pension, medical cover/insurance plus numerous soft leisurely benefits.
