JMC Aviation are working with a MRO company based in Manchester, looking to recruit a new Check Manager to join their team.This client is a leading MRO dealing with line and base maintenance as well as interior modifications and fuel systems repair and maintenance for both commercial and military aircraft. The company has been operating for close to 30 years, providing outstanding customer service and encouraging a warm, positive environment to aid employee progression.This is a Permanent Position based in Manchester, UK.Working Monday – Friday, either on an early shift (7am - 3pm) or late shift (3pm - 11pm).Salary and BenefitsCompetitive salary and allowancesAnnual bonus25 days annual leave entitlement + bank holidays4x Life assuranceEmployer pension contributionSick payService awards from 2 yearsRelocation allowance considered if requiredThe RoleThe primary purpose of this role is to be responsible for the overall management and delivery of the allocated maintenance inputs and retaining oversight of the maintenance tasks to ensure regulatory compliance.Other Duties InvolveDelivering allocated maintenance inputs to scheduleDelivering allocated projects and company initiatives to scheduleAssisting Base Maintenance Management Team as requiredLine management of all staff within their agreed area of responsibilityIssuing certificates of release to service for the specific aircraft type within the scope of limitations of their QA044 staff - authorisation documentAllocating tasks and responsibilities within their work areaMaintaining a log of progress against taskProviding and delivering daily production briefingsUpdating senior management as requiredDeveloping solutions to deliver maintenance to target within any budget constraints setEnsuring a daily progress report is issued for the aircraft under maintenanceBeing accountable for the technical integrity of all work carried out under their controlBeing accountable for the conduct and time keeping of all allocated staff whilst employed within their area of responsibilityMaintaining allocated work areas to the highest standards of cleanlinessEnsuring that all husbandry and tool audit requirements are carried out and recordedCarrying out formal appraisals of hangar floor staff and advising the Head of Base Maintenance on potential for further training and individual developmentBeing responsible for continued H&S 'duty of care' of their team, ensuring all current procedures are followedCarrying out DQS self-audits in line with base maintenance proceduresAllocating audits to staff within their area of responsibility and co-ordinating responses where applicableAssisting with quality audits and supporting the implementation of robust closure plansAssisting the Head of Base Maintenance with the creation and management of budgets as requiredIn order to be successful in this role the Check Manager will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributesCategory B license with C certification by aircraft typeHold a B777 and/or A320 type rating and C-certMust have wide body experienceExtensive base maintenance experience as a B1 and/or B2 Certifying EngineerWorking knowledge of Part 145 aviation legislationRight to live and work in the UKIf you think this is the role for you and you have the necessary skills and attributes, please apply today or contact JMC Aviation for more details.Please note that due to the high level of applicants we will only be contacting shortlisted candidates regarding this role.For this opportunity JMC Aviation Ltd is acting as an employment agency.
